Description

This is a refresher course designed to review selected knowledge, and to provide practice in skills, related to launching and operating lifeboats and rescue boats. The course provides an alternate means for currently active offshore petroleum installation lifeboat coxswains to maintain proficiency in lifeboat launch and operation as well as rescue boat operations in lieu of actual offshore launch and use of lifeboats.

Learning Outcomes

  • To review selected knowledge required for lifeboat operation
  • To provide students with the opportunity to develop and/or refresh skill in the use of lifeboats and rescue boats and their associated launching systems

Prerequisites

Valid Offshore Petroleum Installation Lifeboat Coxswain Including Rescue Boats (Husky Specific) Certificate;
    Valid Basic Survival Training Certificate;
    Valid CAPP Medical
