Description

This course is an introductory course developed to orient and prepare food service workers to maintain a constant awareness of food safety and to ensure that proper procedures in the preparation and serving of food are followed.

Learning Outcomes

To familiarize participants with:
  • Proper handling practices for preparing and serving food.
  • Precautions taken to reduce the possibility of food borne illness.
  • Recommended practices in Sanitation, Hygiene and Cleaning procedures in order to serve a safe food to consumers.
  • Awareness of potential Bioterrorism in food.
